Logo, logotype or visual identity: what is the difference?
A logotype (or wordmark) is your company name set in a distinctive typeface. A logo is the broader term, often a symbol combined with the name. A visual identity is the full system: logo, colors, fonts, icons and usage rules that make the brand recognizable on your website, on Instagram, on uniforms and on packaging. We design all three, depending on where your business is today.
What makes a logo professional?
A strong logo is easy to remember, works tiny (as an app or WhatsApp icon) and huge (on a storefront), stays legible in a single color and speaks to the right audience. It starts with a briefing about your company, audience and values. We then research colors, typefaces and shapes, present the first concepts within 5 days, refine them with your feedback and deliver the final vector files in high resolution.
How much does a logo cost?
It depends on the scope: a logo only, a logo with palette and typography, or a complete identity with stationery and brand guidelines. Tell us what you need and we will send a free, fixed-price quote before any work begins.
How long does it take to design a logo?
The first concepts are delivered within 5 days of the briefing. The time to the final version depends on how many feedback rounds you need and whether the project includes extras such as stationery or a brand guide.
What if I do not like the first options?
That is part of the process. Tell us what does not feel right and we refine the concepts or explore new directions. The number of revision rounds is stated clearly in the proposal before we start.
Which file formats will I receive?
By default you receive SVG, transparent PNG, AI (Adobe Illustrator) and EPS. The vector files scale to any size without losing quality, and the PNGs are ready for your website and social media. If your printer uses CorelDRAW, we can also send a CDR file on request.
Will I own the copyright to my logo?
Yes. Once the project is paid, the final logo is yours to use, register and adapt. Because it is designed from scratch, without stock elements, you can also file it as a trademark in your country.
Can a Brazilian agency design a logo for a business in the US, UK or Europe?
Yes, and we do it often. We research your local market and competitors, write everything in English and design for how your customers read and shop. You never need to speak Portuguese to work with us.
How do we communicate during the project?
By video call for the briefing and the presentation of concepts, and by WhatsApp or email for feedback in between. Brazil is one to two hours ahead of New York and three to four hours behind London, so there is plenty of overlap; for clients in Australia we schedule calls early or late in our day.
Do you have an office I can visit?
Our offices are in Campo Grande and São Paulo, Brazil. Clients outside Brazil work with us fully remotely, and in practice that has never been a barrier: the briefing, the presentation and the approvals all happen on screen.
Do you redesign existing logos?
Yes. We update outdated or poorly built logos while keeping the elements your customers already recognize, so the brand looks current without losing its history.
Can you also design business cards and other brand materials?
Yes. We design business cards, stationery, social media templates, signage artwork and brand guidelines, all following the new visual identity and supplied in print-ready files.
How can I pay from outside Brazil?
By credit card (international cards accepted), PayPal, a transfer through Wise or a USD bank transfer to our US account. You receive the full quote in advance, so there are no surprises.
